The organization is run by a Board of Directors, elected by Chamber members. The Board sets policies for the Chamber and the members contribute an invaluable pool of skills enabling the Chamber to better serve the community. The variety of the Chamber's activities depends on the business and community needs and are accomplished by committees and community volunteers.

The Dover Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to improving the quality of life for businesses and citizens of the area. It is people working together to make their community a better place in which to live and work.
